Visa for Study In UK

  • Short Term Study Visa – The student’s age should be 16 or above & wants to pursue or continue his/her English Language Program from the UK institutes. This is valid for 6 to 11 months. There are no calculations of studying time in the UK University, which can be used for working or internship.
  • Tier 4 (General) Student Visa – The student's age should be 18 or above & wants to pursue their bachelor’s, master’s & Doctorate degrees from UK universities or colleges. It has no fixed period; moreover depends on the college course time. He / She should have his college offer letter before applying for Student Visa.
  • Tier 4 (Child) Student Visa – The student’s age should be 4 to 15 years old & like to continue their studies in the UK. The children can take admission only in the autonomous fee paying school.

Documents Requirement for Study In UK

Applying for Tier 4 or Short Term Student Visa, the applicants have to fill up the online application form. Also, has to submit the list of documents that include;

  • Original Passport or Travel Documentation
  • Color passport size photograph
  • Concerned College or University Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS)
  • Evidence of Financial Documents to confirm the applicant can pay tuition fees & living cost
  • Medical Certificate from recognized hospital or clinic, that declare the applicant is free from tuberculosis (TB)
  • Providing Biometrics (Fingerprints & Facial Image)
  • Color passport size photograph

After submitting the application form, the UK Home Officer takes 3 weeks (15 working days) to start the processing of the application form. So, it is advised to every applicant to commence his/her visa application process in advance.

Proof of English Language Skills, the students not belonging from English speaking country has to provide the score of Secure English Language Test (SELT). The students have to go for the IELTS & IELTS Life Skills, and the score accepted is 4.03 in all four skills; reading, writing, speaking & listening, to the UK Home Officer.

Q4. When can I apply for the study visa application?

After you get Certificate of Acceptance (CAS) from your university, it deeds as evidence that you have acquired your admission from the university. The visa officer uses this CAS number to check that you have been recognized from the UK University. Afterwards, you can submit the visa application form.

Q5. What is SELT?

It is Secure English Language Test which is authorized from the UK Home Office that evaluates the international students on the basis of reading, speaking, listening & writing skills. The applicants have to meet the approx. scoring for minimum UKVI requirements.

If students decide to live inside in London has to show 1265GBP/month & outside of London 1015 GBP/month, for 9 months. For this, the applicants can show the following one document;
