Education is provided in English medium in every public & private university. Singapore consists of six publicly funded universities; the National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University come in the top 20 worldwide universities.
Procedure for Singapore Student Pass
The students receiving their admission offer letter from the applied college/institute for a particular course have to go for Student Pass to get a visa for Singapore. Applicants have to submit their visa application form through the Students Pass On-Line Application & Registration (SOLAR) system. You must fill your application and submit it two months before the date of the commencement of the course.
Registration through Institutes of Singapore: First your selected college has to register your application through SOLAR with the required details such as;

Next, the student has to take a printout of the e Form 16 which has to give in to the Student’s Pass Unit, ICA for further paperwork to confirm you are eligible for Student Pass.
The applicants have to also submit few more required documents which subjected to serve as proof of evidence for your academic and financial position that includes;
- An original national passport that must be valid for at least 3 months out there for stay
- Two recent passport size photographs
- Previous educational degree, diploma, or foundation course certificate
- Admission Offer letter from Singapore Institute
- Print out of completed student pass application e form ICA 16 and V36
- Proof of Fee payment receipt
- Proof of Funds’ where you need to show the required tuition fees & $8400 to demonstrate you can support all your living expense and other liabilities
- Work experience letter (if asked)
- Bank Fixed deposit receipt (if asked)
- Bank loan sanction letter (if asked)
Note: All documents should be needed to be in English Language or English translated versions.
Processing Fee: The processing fee can cost up to $30 (Rs 1637 approx.) for a student visa application form submitted to Singapore Immigration and Checkpoint Authority. You can make the payment by the online mode such as credit/debit card or internet banking. It is non-refundable.
Issuance Fee: The issuance fee is paid after the successful completion of the student visa application and ready to collect his/her Student Pass which is $60 (Rs 3275 approx.) as well as $30 for the multi-entry visa fee.

Ministry of Education (MOE) offers international students Service Obligation Scheme under a subsidized program. The provided scheme help students to pay reduced tuition fees as well as let them work in Singapore after their program gets complete to repay their tuition fees.
The applicants should apply to different colleges in October because it is considered to be the right time as you should start the application process 6 months before the deadline. As per the guideline Public Singapore Universities invites international students in two intakes that include August and February month. Nevertheless, private universities take students in multiple intakes such as January, February, July, August, September, and October.
