Ontario Express Entry program is similar to the general Express Entry system that's introduced by the Canadian government to invite the most deserving foreign workers to Canada. In order to apply through the Express Entry Program, the candidates must create an account for this program and showcase their interest in achieving PR status for Ontario. The government of the province will reach out to the candidates after evaluating their educational credentials and work experience. If the applicant meets all the eligibility requirements of the province, then they will be handed a letter of nomination. Basically, it is an invitation to apply for the Canada PR visa. Once you receive this certificate, your score in the Express Entry profile will be increased by 600 points. This will increase your chances of receiving the ITA (Invitation to Apply). The program is further classified into the following categories:

Due to the limited number of seats, only candidates that are qualified for CIC (Citizenship and Immigration’s Express Entry Pool) will be declared eligible for Permanent Residency Visa. The candidates who are selected will receive a notification of NOI, in which, the authorities will ask them to apply for the PR visa under Human Capital Priorities Stream. Make sure that the application should be completed and submitted within 45 days.

• The applicant should score a minimum of 400 points in the CRS profile. The more points you collect, the higher your chances of getting nominated.
• The applicants must possess significant experience in their occupation.
• The applicant must score at least 7 points in the Canada language proficiency test.
• The applicant must have a bachelor's, master's, Ph.D., and other required certificates. They must also submit their educational credential assessment report which is evaluated by experts. The ECA should match the Canadian educational requirements.

As the name suggests, this program is designed for the French-speaking immigrants who intend to apply for permanent residency in Ontario. The state will send the Notification of Interest to the most deserving candidates. They must submit the application within 30 days of the notification.

• The applicant must submit the bachelor's, master’s, and other certifications required in their profession.
• Applicants who are applying through the Federal Skilled Workers Program must possess a minimum of 1-year experience in their profession in the past five years.
• The applicant's bank balance must be sufficient for them to survive in Ontario.
• The applicants must achieve at least 7 points in the French-speaking test and 6 or above points in the English test.
• The applicant must be able to show their intention of living and working in Ontario.

The students who are currently pursuing their education in a Canadian school, but belong to an international country can apply for the PR visa in Canada through this program. The plan is divided into three major categories:

International Students With Job Offer

The program is specifically designed for Ontario employers who plan on hiring international students studying in Canada. The eligibility criteria for students applying under International Students with Job Offer stream are:

• The students must have completed their graduation from Canada-based University.
• The students must have received the permanent job invitation from the Ontario-based employer. The employer also needs to submit an application from their end to the Ontario authorities.
• The students who have completed their graduation in the past 2 years can apply under this program. The candidate should aim to submit the application as soon as their final semester is completed.
• The applicant should complete their post-graduation degree or a 2-year graduation certification from Canadian authorities.

International Master Graduate

This program helps Ontario employers to hire the best candidates from foreign countries. The program accepts only 1000 applications currently. The candidates may not need a job offer, but they must fulfill the following criteria to apply under this program.

• Photograph.
• The candidate must hold a master’s degree, which they have received from the publicly- funded university in Canada.
• They must have studied for at least one year in Canada.
• They must be familiar and well-versed with the formal Canadian language i.e. English and French.
• Their bank balance must be sufficient for them to live and work in Canada.
• Refugee Claimants are not eligible to apply under this program.
• They can only apply until 2 years of the date they received their master’s degree.
• They must be willing to live in Ontario, Canada.

International Ph.D. Stream

This program helps Ontario employers to hire the best candidates from foreign countries. The program accepts only 1000 applications currently. The candidates may not need a job offer, but they must fulfill the following criteria to apply under this program.

• The candidate must hold a master’s degree, which they have received from the publicly- funded university in Canada.
• They must have studied for at least one year in Canada

• Refugee Claimants are not eligible to apply under this program
• They can only apply until 2 years of the date they received their master’s degree.
• They must be willing to live in Ontario, Canada.

The eligibility requirements for students applying under this program are as follows:

• The candidate must have achieved their graduation. Students who are under soon-to- be-graduated status can also apply under this program.
• The candidate should send the application within 2 years of achieving their graduation degree from a Canadian university.
• The applicant must have legal residency status in Ontario, Canada.
• The student must accomplish half their education from a Canadian institution.
• The student must receive a permanent job invitation from an employer-based in Ontario. The employer also needs to submit the required application from their end. The job offer should remain valid at the time of application approval.

Launched by the Canadian Government in 2015, Ontario Corporate System is designed for the entrepreneurs and business inventors who want to grow their firm in Ontario, Canada. The candidates who have already established their firm in Ontario are eligible to apply through this program. The applicant must receive a 2-year temporary work permit from Canadian authorities before applying for the permanent residency status. A maximum of five employees from foreign countries can be nominated under this program.

The eligibility requirements are as follows:

• The applicant must have enough funds to process an investment of up to $500,000 in Ontario.
• The applicant must commit to creating two job vacancies for residents of Ontario.
• The applicant should have at least $800,000 as a minimum net worth.
• The candidate must complete all the requirements and submit the application form in 24 hours to qualify for the PR nomination.
• The candidate must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in business management in the past five years.

This stream is designed for young Entrepreneurs who plan on commencing their business in Ontario, Canada. Only candidates who manage to establish their firm in the province can apply for Permanent Residency in Ontario under this program.

To become eligible to apply under this program, the applicant must own a minimum of 33.3% of the equity share in the Ontario business plan. The candidates must submit the valid documents stating their job vacancies for Ontario residents and investment commitment. Here are the eligibility criteria for residents who intend to apply under the Ontario Entrepreneur stream.

• The applicant must have enough funds to process an investment of up to $500,000 in Ontario.
