Procedure for study in Singapore Student Pass

The students receiving their admission offer letter from the applied college/institute for a particular course have to go for Student Pass to get a visa for Singapore. Applicants have to submit their visa application form through the Students Pass On-Line Application & Registration (SOLAR) system. You must fill your application and submit it two months before the date of the commencement of the course.

Registration through Institutes of Singapore: First your selected college has to register your application through SOLAR with the required details such as;

  • Basic information: Name, nationality of student, date of birth (DOB), and gender
  • Course information: Course name, commencement, and end date
  • SOLAR reference number

Candidate has to submit e Form 16: After successful registration by college, the student has to submit e form 16 with the below general information that includes;

  • Passport information: Passport number, expiry date, etc.
  • Recent passport size photograph
  • Email id
  • Registration acknowledgment notice with the login details provided by the college

Next, the student has to take a printout of the e Form 16 which has to submit to the Student’s Pass Unit, ICA for further paperwork to confirm you are eligible for Student Pass.

Documents Required For Study in singapore, Visa At Time Of Interview

The applicants are required to deposit few more required documents which subjected to serve as proof of evidence for your academic and financial position that includes;

  • An original national passport that must be valid for at least 3 months out there for stay
  • Two recent passport size photographs
  • Previous educational degree, diploma, or foundation course certificate

  • Print out a copy of completed student pass application e form ICA 16 and V36
  • Evidence of fee payment receipt
  • Proof of Funds’ to show the required tuition fees & $8400 to demonstrate that you can support all your living expense and other liabilities
  • Work experience letter (if asked)
  • Bank Fixed deposit receipt (if inquired
  • Bank loan sanction letter (if questioned)

Cost of Study Visa in Singapore

Processing Fee: The processing fee can cost up to $30 (Rs 1637 approx.) for a student visa application form submitted to Singapore Immigration and Checkpoint Authority. You can make the payment by the online mode such as credit/debit card or internet banking. It is non-refundable.

Issuance Fee: The issuance fee is paid after the successful completion of the student visa application and ready to collect his/her Student Pass which is $60 (Rs 3275 approx.) as well as $30 for the multi-entry visa fee.

Only full-time graduate international students can sponsor their spouses or children to come to Singapore. They have to apply for an entry visa at the Singapore embassy and after arriving at the airport they will be given 4 weeks Social Visit Pass.
