Canada PR Next Draw

The Canadian government and Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, Canada (IRCC) conducts an Express Entry Draw on a bi-weekly basis. The latest Express Entry Draw for permanent residency was held on 08 March 2024.

2,104 PR invitations were issued for provincial nomination under the Human Capital Priorities Stream (healthcare occupations) with a CRS score between 352 and 421. The applicants who received the invitations have 45 days to submit the application.

When will be the Next Canada Express Entry Draw?

There is no longer a consistent pattern for the Express Entry Draw since the new Canada category-based occupations draw has taken place. However, the prediction for the next Express Entry Draw is on 13 March 2024.

The timing, frequency, and CRS score of these draws are decided by the IRCC on various factors. The Canadian government and IRCC conducting these draws hastily to meet the targets set in the Canada Immigration Plan 2024-2026.

Lowest and Highest CRS Cut-off Scores

To have a clear idea about the CRS score and how low and high it can go. Have a look at the key points of the draws held in the last four years:

2023

The lowest and highest CRS cut-off scores in all program draw were 481 and 542.
The least and peak CRS cut-off scores in the PNP-specific draw were 691 and 791.

2022

The top and below CRS cut-off scores in all program draw were 491 and 557.
The lowermost and uppermost CRS cut-off scores in the PNP-specific draw were 678 and 808.

2021

The low line CRS points cut-off is 75 (Canadian Experience Class)
The paramount CRS cut-off in all program draw were 462 and 813 in the PNP-specific draw.

2020

The lowest CRS point cut-off score is 431 in all program draw and 415 (FST)
The highest CRS point cut-off score is 478 in all program draw and 808 in PNP-specific draw

How to prepare for the Next Express Entry Draw

There are several types of rounds of invitations, however, till, now IRCC has 3 rounds of invitations.

General rounds of invitations

IRCC invites the highest-ranking applicants in the pool who are eligible in one of the programs managed under the Express Entry:

● Federal Skilled Worker Program

● Federal Skilled Trades Program

● Canadian Experience Class

Program-specific rounds of invitations

In this IRCC Invites the highest-ranking candidates who are eligible for an Express Entry along with the Provincial Nominee Program.

Category-based rounds of invitations

Canada Immigration Minister, Sean Fraser established a category-based draw to meet specific economic goals. IRCC Invites the candidates with the highest CRS score who are eligible for the targeted category. The categories are;

French-language proficiency
Healthcare occupations
Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) occupations
Trade occupations
Transport occupations
Agriculture and Agri-Food occupations
