Canada PR points under the Comprehensive Ranking System

Factors like age, education, language proficiency, and work experience comes under human capital or core factors.

Common-law partner or spouse factors

It includes accompanying common-law partner factors like age, language, work experience, and language skills.

Transferability of skills

It offers points to those candidates who have foreign work experience and educational qualifications.

Additional Points

An additional 600 points are offered to candidates who receive a nomination from the Provincial Nomination Program.

The 7 easy steps to complete the Canada PR application process

The candidate can follow the given below 7 easy steps to complete the Canada PR application process:

Step 1: Educational Credential Assessment- ECA

The candidate needs to obtain their Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) to prove their foreign education is equivalent to the Canadian standard.

Step 2: Language Proficiency Report

In this step, the candidate needs to obtain specific bands or points in any of the official languages of Canada. For English, the candidates can give the IELTS exam, and for French, they can give TEF or TCF.

Step 3: Express Entry Application

After acquiring both the above documents, the candidate should create a profile online on the Express Entry system.

Step 4: CRS score

The candidate’s profile gets evaluated by a tool called the Comprehensive Ranking System, based on which the candidate receives the scores and profile ranking and becomes eligible to apply for the Canada PR visa if they obtained the required CRS scores

Step 5: Draws under Express Entry

After obtaining the CRS scores, the candidate has to wait for the draws to be held under the Express Entry system conducted at short intervals. The high-ranked candidates receive the ITA (Invitation to apply) for Canada PR.

Step 6: Invitation to apply

Candidates with specified CRS scores receive the ITA and get 60 days timeline to apply for Canada PR.

Step 7: Closing PR application

The candidate should submit the Canada PR application with all the required documents. IRCC tries to process the PR application of a candidate within six months. If the candidate’s application gets approved, they get an update from the authorities.
