New Express Entry Draw of October: IRCC Invites 792 Provincial Nominees at CRS 761

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada has launched its last October selection process, where the New Express Entry Draw of October: IRCC Invites 792 Provincial Nominees at CRS 761 is directed toward provincial nominees. Through the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) category, IRCC offered 792 invitations to PR for Canadian permanent residency. The minimum CRS cutoff score has reduced by 11 points to become 761, offering the biggest individual selection round of provincial nominees by the department in over four months.

Highlights of New Express Entry Draw of October

● Draw Date - October 26, 2026

● Draw Category - Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)

● Total Invitations Issued - 792

● Minimum CRS Score Required - 761

Analysis of the 761 CRS Cutoff Score and Core Human Capital

The CRS cutoff of 761 is an 11-point lower than the 772 cutoff noted during the PNP draw held on October 13. Since an individual securing an enhanced provincial nomination certificate earns a total of 600 more CRS points, every baseline score for draws of the PNP class has this large number added to it. By subtracting the nomination bonus of 600 points, it can be seen that the candidate who received the lowest ranking offer had a core human capital score of 161 points. The score represents individual factors such as age, education, official language test score and work experience. The larger draw size of 792 ITAs enabled the IRCC to access candidates deeper down in the pool of nominations, resulting in lowering the cutoff from its October mid point.

For candidates without provincial nomination at the moment

● Late-October Cluster Watch

Following the normal schedule for selection by the ministers, Canadian Experience Class (CEC) draws or selections based on categories (like French-language abilities, STEM, or Healthcare) usually take place 24 to 48 hours after a PNP draw.

● Focus on PNP Streams

Applying to provincial nominee programs (like OINP of Ontario, BC PNP, Alberta AAIP, and Manitoba MPNP) is still the only way to get the 600-point bump and avoid the high cutoff marks.
