On 23 January 2024, The Express Entry Draw sent 1,040 PR Invitations in a general draw with a CRS score of 543 or above. There is a probability to see more draws this week as this Express Entry Draw was recently held on Tuesday.

The previous Canada Express Entry Draw issued 1,510 PR Invitations in all programs or general rounds of invitations with a CRS score of 546 or higher.

In May 2023, Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) introduced a targeted invitation round for Express Entry applicants. With new draws, IRCC is seeking people in In-demand occupations with specific skills because Immigration Minister Marc Miller believes, it will benefit Canada’s workforce and economy.

Express Entry Candidates can demonstrate their French Language Proficiency in one of the six categories for Express Entry.

The mentioned below are five categories for applicants with work experience in an industry that is presently experiencing a workforce shortage in Canada:

  • Healthcare
  • Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) professions
  • Transport
  • Agriculture and agri-food

In the Immigration Level Plan, the targeted Express Entry Draw will contribute to the Federal High Skilled Worker. Canada aims to welcome around 114,000 new Permanent Residents by the end of 2025.

Express Entry is an online system used by the Canadian government to organize applications for three programs; the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), the Federal Skilled Trade Program (FSTP), and the Canadian Experience Class (CEC).
