The UK–India Young Professionals Scheme (YPS) is a new visa that allows young Indian professionals to easily move to the UK for living, studying, working or traveling purposes. For Indian nationals aged 18 to 30 years, this work visa scheme will grant them the opportunity to acquire two years of international experience in the UK.

What Is UK–India Young Professionals Scheme?

How the Ballot Works – Entry & Selection

1. Ballot Entry

Initially, the YPS ballot needs to be entered, which does not involve any payment. Those applying for the program declare their eligibility and provide some personal information (name, date of birth, passport number, email).

2. Selection

As the demand is more than the restricted number of visas, the winners are decided by a random draw through the ballot.

3. Invitation to Apply

Activities Allowed in the UK with a YPS Visa

  • To work in the majority of positions without the need for employer
