On 01 November 2023, the Canada Immigration Levels Plan 2024-2026 was officially announced by Canadian Immigration Minister Marc Miller.
The new scheme represents that the Canada Immigration Department aims to welcome 485,000 new permanent residents in 2024. Furthermore, 500,000 residents in 2025 as well as in 2026.
In 2024, the Canadian government anticipates attracting approximately 281,135 economic applicants, or 58 percent of the annual target. By 2026 this graph will rise up to 301,250 or to about 60 percent of the annual objective.
