On 18 January 2024, Prince Edward Island Draw Issued 136 Canada Immigration Invitations under two streams with different CRS scores. The first stream issued two invitations to the Business Work Permit Entrepreneur stream with a minimum point score 80.
The second stream of Prince Edward Island Draw issued 134 invitations under the PEI Express Entry, Skilled, and Critical worker with a minimum point score of 65.

PEI Express Entry candidates featured two pathways for Canada Permanent Residency; one with a job and another without a job offer letter.
Prince Edward Island Draw for Labour Impact Category
1) Skilled Worker Stream
This category allows Skilled Workers with an employment offer letter in Prince Edward Island Draw to be nominated for Canadian Permanent Residency if they meet the following criteria’s:
- An employment offer letter from a Prince Edward Island Business in a specific occupation classified NOC TEER category 0,1,2 or 3.
- Must have completed post-secondary education with a minimum year of formal education
- Age between 21 and 55 years
- English or French language proficiency
- Sufficient amount of funds
- Intention to live in Prince Edward Island
2) Critical Worker Stream
This stream is for open foreign workers to resolve the labour shortages in PEI with employment in specific demand occupations. The nomination benchmarks are:
A full-time offer letter of employment from a Prince Edward Island business in one of the following professions:
- Truck driver
- Customer service representative
- Labourer
- Food & beverage server
- Housekeeping attendant
- 6 months of work experience
- Valid Canadian work permit
- High school diploma
- Age between 21 to 55 years
- At least 2 years of work experience, if living in PEI for 5 years
- English or French language proficiency
- Proof of funds
- Aim to live in Prince Edward Island
Prince Edward Island Business Impact Category
Business Work Permit Stream
Applicants applying under the PEI Work Permit Stream must obtain a Canada work permit and work for a PEI business for a certain period as mentioned in a Performance Agreement.
After the Performance Agreement is completed, the applicant must make a minimum $150,000 investment in the business and commit to managing the business daily from within PEI.
