Manitoba PNP Expression of Interest Draw #262

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) has made public the results of the Expression of Interest Draw as a part of its recruitment strategy aimed at attracting skilled workers through provincial immigration pathways. This recent draw of the Manitoba Expression of Interest #262 has been solely dedicated to the skilled professionals who were invited directly under the initiatives that target local labour and economic needs.

Results of the Skilled Worker Stream

Manitoba has issued a total of 55 LAAs, in Draw #262, to the candidates who qualified under the Skilled Worker Stream, which marks the latest step in Manitoba’s immigration process. The draw aimed at those applicants who had either the Skilled Worker in Manitoba or the Skilled Worker Overseas EOI profile submitted and if they had been invited directly by the MPNP as per strategic recruitment initiatives.

Yearly distribution of invitations based on the strategic initiative –

● Employer Services – 21 LAAs
● Francophone Community – 7 LAAs
● Regional Communities – 15 LAAs
● Ethnocultural Communities – 9 LAAs
● Temporary Public Policy (TPP) for Work Permits – 3 LAAs

Out of the total of 55 invitations, 10 went to those candidates who indicated a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code showing they were eligible for both provincial and federal immigration pathways.

Eligibility Criteria Considered in Manitoba PNP Expression of Interest Draw #262

Stream candidates whom the MPNP had directly invited through either the approved strategic recruitment initiatives or the Temporary Public Policy for work permits. This draw did not take into account the general EOI profiles that did not have a formal invitation.

Why Some EOIs Did Not Receive an Invitation

According to the MPNP, profiles that looked very much eligible to receive a Letter of Advice to Apply (LAA) might have missed it due to reasons like expired language test results, missing or wrong invitation numbers, or incomplete EOI information. Candidates are suggested to periodically check and refresh their profiles in order to still be eligible for the coming draws.

What Happens Next

The candidates who got a Letter of Advice to Apply through Manitoba Expression of Interest Draw #262 need to submit a complete application to the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program within the time limit set. If the applicants are successful, they can then proceed towards provincial nomination and, where applicable, permanent residence through federal immigration routes.
