Manitoba Province has finally declared the latest updated selection results in the form of Manitoba Expression of Interest Draw #280: Check Latest EOI Results dated September 24, 2026. The draw was organized by the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) through which a total of 474 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) were issued to skilled workers, STEM professionals, physicians and French-speaking applicants. In all 148 Express Entry candidates have been invited in this draw for Canadian permanent residency.

Detailed Breakdown of Targeted Categories
The allocation of the invites through Draw #280 further proves Manitoba’s focus on skilled technical occupations and retention of professionals in the province.
1. Natural and Applied Sciences Occupations (417 LAAs)
Almost all of the total invitations (417 LAAs) were made to eligible applicants working in Manitoba in the NOC 2021 Broad Occupational Category 2 – Natural and applied sciences. This includes software developers, civil/mechanical engineers, IT system specialists, database administrators, and biological technicians. Invited candidates needed to have a minimum number of points of 760.
2. Targeted Medical Selection (1 LAA)
Invitations were extended to one eligible applicant working in Manitoba in the following category:
- NOC 31102: General practitioners and family physicians
3. Francophone Selection Stream (16 LAAs)
16 invitations were extended to candidates whose primary language of communication with the MPNP was French, and who provided proof of passing an official language test (TEF Canada or TCF Canada).
4. Strategic Recruitment Initiatives (40 LAAs)
In the Skilled Worker Stream (covering the Skilled Worker in Manitoba category and the Skilled Worker Overseas category), 40 invitations were issued to candidates selected as part of an authorized strategic recruitment initiative or temporary public policy (TPP):
- Regional Communities: 15 LAAs
- Employer Services: 9 LAAs
- Ethnocultural Communities: 9 LAAs
- Francophone Community: 6 LAAs
- Temporary Public Policy (TPP): 1 LAA
Express Entry Participation (148 candidates)
Among the total 474 LAAs distributed in the Draw #280 round, there were 148 LAAs issued to Express Entry applicants declaring an active profile number and a job seeker validation code. The successful candidates will earn 600 more CRS points on their provincial nomination and hence, an ITA in an upcoming federal Express Entry draw for Canadian permanent residence.
Critical Compliance and Advisory Warnings from MPNP
While making the announcement of the Draw #280 round, the MPNP made several critical compliance and advisory notes about the integrity measures –
- Regulated Occupations – Applicants claiming to work in any regulated occupation should be duly licensed for practicing in Manitoba. If an applicant is not able to provide documentation proving completion of all licensing requirements, his/her application for full processing may be rejected by the MPNP. In this case, such candidates are recommended to decline their LAA.
- Strategic Recruitment Codes – Applicants have to be duly invited for the purpose of strategic recruitment and provide a valid invitation number in their profile.
- Validity of Language Test Scores – Candidates’ test scores must be valid and have an active official reference number.
