On 01 January 2024, The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program updated the OINP International Student Stream to increase eligibility for international students who have earned a one-year college graduate certificate to qualify for permanent residency.<\/p>\n

This change is initiated because the previous candidates with one-year college graduation certificates can only apply through the OINP International Student Stream if the completion of the degree is required for admission.<\/p>\n

However, now this modification is eligible for any one-year college program that grants an Ontario Graduate Certificate.<\/p>\n

Have a look at the new OINP International Student Stream:-<\/h4>\n\n\n\n\n\n
<\/td>\nEffective January 1, 2024<\/strong><\/td>\nPrior to January 1, 2024<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Program requirement<\/strong><\/td>\nStudents who completed a one-year certificate from an Ontario college resulting in an Ontario College Graduate Certificate are eligible.<\/td>\nStudents who completed a one-year certificate from an Ontario college were only eligible if their program required a degree for admission.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Program eligibility<\/strong><\/td>\nMost one-year graduate certificate programs in Ontario will become eligible.<\/td>\nMost certificates were ineligible.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

These changes now increase the number of certificate programs which is eligible for the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program<\/a>. Take a look at the eligible Canadian Universities and Colleges for OINP International Student Stream:-<\/p>\n
