On 8th January 2025, the Express Entry Draw sent 1,350 Permanent Residency invitation under the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) with a comprehensive ranking system (CRS) score of 542 or higher.<\/p>\n

This cutoff is increased by 3 points as compared to the previous CEC draw. This is the First\u00a0Express Entry<\/a>\u00a0Draw of the year under the Canadian Experience Class (CEC)\u00a0 inviting a total of 1,350 profiles in 2025.<\/p>\n

The last draw was on 7th January The latest Express Entry Draw issued 471 permanent residency invitations targeting profiles with Provincial Nomination with a CRS score of 793 or above.<\/p>\n

There are several ways to increase the chance of improving the CRS score. Here are some proactive steps you can take:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  • Improve your language scores:<\/strong> Canada has two official languages; English and French which plays an important role in enhancing the CRS score. Taking the IELTS or CELPIP for English, or TEF for French, and achieving higher scores can significantly increase your overall ranking.<\/li>\n
  • Increase your education:<\/strong> make sure your credential is equivalent to the Canadian standards. The higher the education is, the higher the points.<\/li>\n
  • Gain more work experience:<\/strong> Add other years of work experience in your profession, if it\u2019s in a high-demand occupation that can boost your CRS score.<\/li>\n
  • Obtain a Provincial Nomination:<\/strong> Securing a nomination from one of Canada\u2019s provinces through the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) can add 600 points to your CRS score.<\/li>\n
  • Get a valid job offer:<\/strong> A valid job offer from a Canadian employer can also increase your CRS score by up to 200 points, depending on the employment positions.<\/li>\n
  • Spousal factors: If your spouse or partner has strong language skills or education credentials, you can get additional points on your Express Entry profile by including these factors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
