On 21 October 2023, Nova Scotia New PR Pathway is launched for permanent residency for Canadian immigrants. This pathway is offered to individuals with experience in one of the 21 construction occupations with labour shortages.
The name of the new PR pathway is called the Critical Construction Worker Pilot. It is a good option for individuals seeking permanent residency in Atlantic Canada.
Eligibility for Critical Construction Worker Pilot
This new PR pathway is only eligible for those who have a permanent and full-time job offer from a Nova Scotian employer in one of the 21 construction occupations. The other requirements are;
Your age must be between the ages of 21 and 55
• 1 year of work experience
• Proof of construction-specific industry program
• Language proficiency in English or French
• Enough funds to settle in Nova Scotia
List of occupations eligible for Nova Scotia Critical Worker
• 70010 – Construction managers
• 70011 – Home building and renovation managers
• 72020 – Contractors and supervisors, mechanic trades
• 72106 – Welders and related machine operators
• 72200 – Electricians (except industrial and power system)
• 73110 – Roofers and shinglers and many more.
