The draw, which took place on 23 October 2025, invited 29 proficient professionals who were selected through different strategic recruitment measures the opportunity to apply for residency rights permanently.

Invitations Breakdown Under the Latest Manitoba PNP Draw

Employer Services – issued 4 LAAs

Francophone Community – issued 3 LAAs

Regional Communities – issued 2 LAAs

Ethnocultural Communities – issued 1 LAA

Temporary Public Policy to Facilitate Work Permits for Prospective PNP Candidates (TPP) – issued 19 LAAs

From the total of 29 LAAs, there were 9 given to applicants who reported an active Express Entry profile number and a job seeker validation code.

Eligibility & Selection Criteria

In the Draw #256 only overseas applicants who were in the Skilled Worker Stream and who
met the certain selection criteria were taken into consideration. This implies –

● The profiles submitted should be those under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba pathway or the Skilled Worker Overseas pathway and must have declared being directly invited by MPNP under a strategic recruitment initiative.

● The candidates had to make sure that their Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code were valid if applicable.

● The profiles that did not have valid language test numbers (when required) or valid
invitation numbers were not considered for this draw.

The notes from MPNP underlined that if a candidate fulfilled the criteria but did not get an
LAA, it could be due to missing or invalid data in their EOI profile – for example, an expired
language test result or a missing invitation number. They suggest refreshing the EOI profile
to keep it in the eligibility list for the next draw.

Why This Draw Matters

The Manitoba Expression of Interest Draw #256 is a strong indication that the province
still wants to receive skilled and qualified people, who will be able to mix with the community
and help the economy of Manitoba. In addition, it is a sign of the MPNP’s promise to a
selection process that is fair, transparent, and favors applicants who fulfill the immediate
labor needs of Manitoba.

The applicants who were not chosen in this draw are advised to check their EOI profile,
ensure that all the information is up-to-date, and watch out for the next Expression of
Interest Draw for the Manitoba PNP.
