Manitoba province has unveiled the latest selection process of theirs by issuing 766 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) through Manitoba Expression of Interest Draw #276 on July 30, 2026. This particular draw conducted under the jurisdiction of Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) was focused on inviting eligible candidate profiles belonging to certain occupational categories, French-language streams, and regional initiatives. Out of the total invited candidate profiles, 94 profiles possessed valid details of Express Entry candidates.

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program carried out its planned EOI draw on 30 July 2026, focusing on applicants who fulfill certain labor market needs in the region. EOI Draw #276 made invitations for three main groups of applicants:

  • Occupation-specific selection groups, highest-ranking applicants in manufacturing and utilities,
  • Francophone selection profiles and applicants invited through strategic recruitment partnerships.

The majority of LAAs in this particular skilled worker round were issued to individuals already employed in Manitoba.

1. Occupation Specific Skilled Worker (74 LAAs)

A total of 74 LAAs were provided by the MPNP to the following NOC unit groups for those who reported that they were actively working –

The biggest single piece of LAAs – totalling 605 – was allocated for candidates working in Manufacturing and utilities NOC 9 broad occupational group. The minimum required MPNP ranking score for receiving invitations in the pool of the broad occupational group was set at 632 points.

Francophone and Strategic Recruitment Initiatives Pathways

In order to encourage linguistic diversity and economic development in regions other than the main centres, the MPNP allocated separate quotas –

  • Francophone Selection (17 LAAs) – Individuals indicating French as their language of communication with the MPNP and possessing valid French language test scores got 17 invitations.
  • Strategic Recruitment Initiatives (70 LAAs) – Sent out to candidates of the Skilled Worker in Manitoba or Overseas pathway programs who have been invited by the MPNP directly through approved initiatives. 70 strategic recruitment LAAs consist of –

Next Steps for Invited Candidates

Requirements for Applicants

  1. Proof of Claims – All claimed scores for the language test result, Manitoba employment, and education should be supported by physical documentation.
  2. Verification of Licensure – Applicants, who are invited in Draw #276 based on the category of regulated occupation (doctors or specialized engineers), should prove that they have done everything necessary regarding licensure within Manitoba.

Candidates failing to prove their claims from EOI will not get their applications accepted by the province.
