Analysis of the Targeted Pathways

The structure of Draw #275 aligns with Manitoba’s strategy to keep graduates and fill vacant positions within its clinical health systems.

1. International Education Stream (IES) – Graduate Internship Pathway (GIP)

In total, 78 LAAs have been issued to applicants who hold advanced degrees through the Graduate Internship Pathway. This pathway considers candidates who possess relevant experience in fulfilling the requirements of local internships via provincial research projects.

2. Skilled Worker in Manitoba – Occupation Specific Selection

In order to strengthen provincial healthcare infrastructure, the Manitoba PNP Draw July 2026 invited applications from specific categories of healthcare providers.

In total, 24 LAAs were issued to the following categories of healthcare workers holding employment within the province, according to their National Occupational Classification (NOC) 2021 –

  • 31100 – Specialists in clinical and laboratory medicine
  • 31101 – Specialists in surgery
  • 31102 – General practitioners and family physicians

3. Francophone Selection Track

To align with Canada’s overall mission of boosting Francophone populations outside of Quebec, the Francophone selection track offered 84 invitations. Those eligible for nomination were expected to have valid and confirmed French language test scores and use French as their main means of communication in the MPNP.

4. Completed Post-Secondary Study in Manitoba

Taking up the majority of this lottery round, 1,874 invitations were offered to applicants whose profile ranked highest among those who had completed post-secondary education in Manitoba as either the principal applicant or his/her spouse. For this fiercely competitive category, the lowest ranking score baseline was 825 points.

5. Specialized Recruitment Programs

Additionally, the Skilled Worker Stream made room for another 86 invites of persons who had been nominated by the province through approved recruitment programs globally or locally.

The breakdown of the total number of invites in these specialized categories included –

  • Employer Services – 32 LAAs
  • Temporary Public Policy (TPP) – 18 LAAs
  • Ethnocultural Communities – 17 LAAs
  • Francophone Community – 11 LAAs
  • Regional Communities – 8 LAAs

The Express Entry Connection and Permanent Residence

Among the 2,146 total invites issued on July 16, a large number of 825 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) was issued to candidates who have an active, verified federal Express Entry profile connected with a legitimate Job Seeker Validation Code.

Once these candidates succeed in getting an MPNP nomination from their LAA, they will be awarded an automatic increase of 600 points under the federal Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). This will give them a fast track towards Canadian permanent residency through future federal draws.

Mandatory Next Steps for Invited Applicants

Every applicant that was issued a Letter of Advice to Apply during this stage should take action fast. The province follows strict documentation verification rules as follows –

  • Educational Requirements – Every applicant who went through the educational route in Manitoba must show physical certificates and transcript documents showing that he or she or his or her spouse has graduated from a post-secondary program in Manitoba.
  • Professional Licensing – All candidates involved in the regulated medical codes (NOC 31100, 31101, 31102) must show proof of full licensing and lawful and active employment in Manitoba. Failure to do so will mean outright rejection of the complete application.
