On 27 September, 2023 IRCC Minister Marc Miller stated that this week will see the first-ever Express Entry Draw for candidates with experience in the agricultural and food industries.
Canada will be able to attract the skilled workers it needs with the help of these fresh rounds of invites, with an emphasis on candidates with experience in the agriculture and agri-food sector, such as retail and wholesale butchers, farm supervisors, and agricultural service contractors.
Those with at least six months of experience in one of the mentioned occupations will be given preference in the new Express Entry round of invites:
- 82031 – contractors and supervisors, Landscaping, groundskeeping, and horticulture
- 82030 – Farm managers and agricultural service providers
- 63201 – Retail and wholesale butchers
