skilled graduates who have already studied and trained in the province.

How OINP Invitations Work?

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) is the provincial government’s way of
selecting skilled workers, international graduates and local talent to get the permanent
residency in Canada. In most cases, OINP streams, Ontario issues Invitations to Apply
(ITAs) after the submission of an Expression of Interest (EOI) by a candidate and such
candidates are needed to satisfy the set minimum criteria regarding scores and job offers.

A candidate who gets an OINP nomination through an ITA will be granted extra points
(usually 600) towards his or her federal Express Entry CRS score, which practically ensures an Invitation to Apply for Canadian permanent residence in the following Express Entry draw.
